About the Artist
In May 2015, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Illustration from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). My works span a multitude of media, styles, and subject matters. In 2011, I received the Talent Scholarship from the Department of Art and Design at MSUM for my artistic achievements. Over the fall of 2018, I created 5 illustrations for a collection of short stories "Smoke and Mirrors" by TJ Moore. I am currently creating pieces of illustrative and figurative quality using digital and traditional media that feature humorous tones and character design.
About the Work
My work has always had a strong figurative element. Throughout my journey as an artist, I have transitioned from drawing live models using a variety of traditional media, to creating illustrative characters and scenes with digital media. One theme that stays consistent in nearly all my work is humor, while some also reference feminist ideas. Though my work covers a variety of mediums and subjects, my strengths are in creating interesting concepts, as well as drawing the human figure with loose linework.
